Infants and toddlers are curious--watching and listening to all of the surrounding commotion and activity. At FVL Schools, you can put them into an environment which includes activities, songs, and stories that will feed your child's faith as well as help them develop and grow.
FVL Schools are dedicated to providing a safe and loving, Christian environment where your child can thrive and learn about Jesus.
How do I choose a child care center for my infant or toddler?
Talk to other parents who have children in the care centers you are considering.
Ask what is done to help your child developmentally (even for infants).
Are infants fed on demand or on a schedule?
Do you want to be able to stop by and breastfeed your child? If so, is there an on-site location for this?
Can the caregivers see and hear infants and toddlers at all times?
Are infants put to sleep on their backs?
How often are toys cleaned?
Is the outdoor play area fenced in?
Look for one with a value system that is consistent with yours.
How do I prepare to have someone else to care for my child?
Observe the caregivers in action, and ask questions to become comfortable with the center.
Consider starting by leaving your child for a half-day before you need to fully return to work.
