As a parent, it can be tough to choose where to send your child. There are a lot of quality options in our region, but how do you decide which is right for your family? Listed below are some things for you to consider as you work your way through this process. Please contact any of our Child Care or Before/After School Care facilities for a tour or to get questions answered!
What should I look for . . .
- Check the hours of operation to confirm that they work with your schedule.
- Location - is it close to home or work? Is the quality of the facility such that you are willing to go out of your way?
- Stop by and see the kids and staff in action.
- Meet the caregivers who might be caring for your child.
- What are the check-in and check-out procedures?
- What is the child-to-caregiver ratio?
- Have caregivers been trained in CPR?
- Is a snack provided?
- What is the illness policy?
- Is there a written policy to ensure that students are always supervised?
- Is summer care offered?
