FVL Schools Band Program

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High!
Psalm 92:1 (NIV)

The FVL Schools Band Program is comprised of students in grades 5-8 who attend our FVL Schools, home school students, and members of the FVL Federation congregations. Students are offered private instrument lessons during the school day at their individual school.

Lesson instruction is provided by Mr. James Neujahr and Mr. Robert Kramer. Group band instruction takes place at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton on various Saturday mornings. Approximately 85 students participate in the program this year. Cadet Band (comprised of first year students) is directed by Mr. Robert Kramer; the Concert Winds (for second, third, and fourth year students) is directed by Mrs. Amy Nogar and Mr. James Neujahr.

Student musicians participate in annual concerts in November and April. The FVL Schools bands have also participated in Veterans' Day Programs, FVL's annual Musicfest, and performances in our FVL Schools. Students are offered many opportunities to grow in their musicianship by means of participation in the Solo and Ensemble Festival, and participation in the Northeast Conference Middle School Honors Band. The FVL Schools Band Program is a member of the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA).
